Standard followed
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA as its baseline. That includes keyboard navigation, visible focus states, sufficient color contrast, alt text on meaningful images, and semantic heading structure throughout.
What's in place
- Skip-to-content link on every page, as the first focusable element, so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Reduced motion respected — pages honor
prefers-reduced-motion; decorative animation is disabled for visitors who have that preference set, while functional content (like the hero text) still appears without motion-based reveal. - Alt text on every meaningful image; purely decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Labeled form fields and visible error/success states on the contact form.
Known limitations
This is a small, actively maintained personal site rather than a large product with a dedicated accessibility team. If you hit a genuine barrier — a control that doesn't announce correctly, a contrast issue, anything that blocks you from getting the information you came for — it's a bug, not a known trade-off, and it will be fixed.
